Congratulations To The 2023 Creative Arts Emmy Winners

January 7, 2024 was a busy night for the entertainment industry with awards shows taking place for both the Golden Globes and the Creative Arts Emmys

In August of 2023, the Television Academy celebrated the winners of the Engineering, Science, and Technology Emmys. The second part of the 75th annual Creative Arts Emmy Awards were held on January 6 and 7, 2024, originally scheduled for September 2023, they were postponed due to Hollywood labor disputes. The ceremonies, honoring the artists and craftspeople behind the technical achievement in categories including animation, documentary, game shows and variety series, were held at the Peacock Theater at L.A. and highlights from the events will be shown on FXX on Saturday, January 13 and available to stream on Hulu after that.

It's A Small World

Some of the honorees from 2023 appeared on multiple projects recognized by the Television Academy. For example, Allen Branton won the Emmy for Outstanding Lighting Design/Lighting Direction for a Variety Special for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, a project which Bruce Rodgers, who won an Emmy for Outstanding Production Design for the Super Bowl Halftime Show, had also worked on.

Branton told Live Design, "Our entire team — Felix Peralta, Kevin Lawson, Bianca Moncada, Alejandro Flores, Chuck Reilly, Guy Jones — are thrilled to be recognized by our peers.  George Gountas, Liberty Bock, Brad Hafer, and 4Wall gave us critical support behind the scenes." He encouraged everyone to stream the show on HBO, saying, "It is a great tribute to Rock and Roll."
