Beginner Laser Technician Course (two-day class)
November 29 & 30
This course is designed for users who are completely new to lasers and Pangolin control, and brings them up to speed so they can do shows for themselves.
Advanced Laser Technician Course (two-day class)
December 1 & 2
This course is designed for users who are experienced with lasers and Pangolin software, and while the beginner course isn’t a pre-requisite, users should already be familiar with Pangolin software and laser projectors.
Lyra Letourneua has been programming and operating laser shows since she was 14 years old. She has worked in all aspects of the industry including touring, theatre, large scale theme parks, cruise ships, and even small town shows and even winning awards for some of these shows along the way. She now plays a supporting role in the industry doing trainings, support, and community outreach for Pangolin Systems. But she still finds time to do shows when she can to stay up to date and understand the needs of the industry she serves.

Lasershow Operator (half day)
November 30, 9am-1pm
ILDA’s Lasershow Operator course provides a basic overview of laser safety, for those who are operating laser show equipment, or are working around laser shows.
Lasershow Operator and Laser Safety Officer (full day)
November 30, 9am-5pm: The Laser Safety Officer portion of the day provides basic lightshow safety training for those working around lasers or those who are operating lasers for lightshows and displays.
Lasershow Safety Inspector
December 1, 9am-3pm
ILDA’s Lasershow Safety Inspector course is intended for persons working in live production environments, including concerts, theatrical productions, corporate shows, and special effects.
Patrick Murphy is the executive director of the International Laser Display Association and the author of the website LaserPointerSafety.com. Since the early 1990s, he has worked on laser/aviation safety issues through the SAE G10T Laser Safety Hazards and G10OL Operational Laser committees.He is a member of ANSI Z136.1, Z136.6, and Z136.10. Additionally, he is a member of FDA's Technical Electronic Product Radiation Safety Standards Committee (TEPRSSC), which advises the FDA on changes in laser and other radiation safety protocols.
