Blackmagic Design Announces New Products At NAB 2025

Blackmagic Design has announced several exciting new products across live production, streaming, cameras, and post. Click the links for more information about each products or stop by booth SL216 at NAB.

Blackmagic PYXIS 12K (US$4,995; available in July): A new digital film camera that features a revolutionary 12K RGBW sensor in the versatile PYXIS camera design! This new model features the same sensor as URSA Cine 12K LF with a massive 16 stops of dynamic range along with dual CFexpress media recorders, 10G Ethernet and Blackmagic Cloud global sync, all in a customizable body. Blackmagic PYXIS 12K is available in three models, with customers able to choose between L-Mount, PL or Locking EF lens mounts.

DaVinci Resolve 20 (free, Studio version $295; public beta available now from Blackmagic Design’s website): A major new update which adds over 100 new features and AI tools such as AI IntelliScript, AI Animated Subtitles, AI Multicam SmartSwitch and AI Audio Assistant, as well as keyframe editing, voice over palettes, multi layer compositing tools, new optical flow vector tools and major updates to Magic Mask and depth map.

Blackmagic Cloud Backup 8 (US$1,495; available now): A new rack mount media backup solution that allows customers to use inexpensive computer hard drives to back up media files fast. Blackmagic Cloud Backup 8 syncs to Blackmagic Cloud for backing up collaborative projects in DaVinci Resolve. Plus, it features a rack mount design with 8 independent hard disk slots, 4 x 10G Ethernet ports for maximum performance with high capacity hard disks, and an HDMI monitor output that shows storage status. It's perfect for archiving completed projects to low cost storage.

DeckLink IP 100G (US$1,795; available in July): A new PCIe Gen 4 card which can capture and playback up to 8 channels of HD and Ultra HD video simultaneously into 2110 IP systems. It also includes 2 x 100G Ethernet QSFP ports for redundancy, or connecting to two separate 100G Ethernet switches, as well as built in cooling. DeckLink IP 100G also supports GPUDirect RDMA for direct memory transfers between DeckLink and GPUs, reducing PCIe bandwidth when processing video on GPUs for a significant reduction in latency.

HyperDeck Shuttle 4K Pro (US$1,495; available now): A new live media player and master recorder. The design includes ergonomic physical controls so customers can search through lots of media and play clips. It also has a large built in 7-inch LCD touchscreen for monitoring and scopes. HyperDeck Shuttle 4K Pro features 12G-SDI and HDMI for recording to Apple ProRes, DNx, H.264 and H.265 files in all video standards up to 2160p. With 10G Ethernet and internal M.2 media, HyperDeck Shuttle 4K Pro is more than a HyperDeck as it's also a network storage device. That means it can share its media with large workflows of editors and colorists.

Blackmagic 2110 IP SDI to HDMI 12G models (from US$495; available in June): Designed to allow the latest OLED TV to be used for color accurate monitoring, such as in color grading and edit suites. They will convert 2110 IP video or 12G-SDI video to HDMI in all SD, HD and Ultra HD video standards and include XLR analog outputs for driving powered speakers for audio monitoring. The converters include variable gain and delay for perfect AV sync and 3D LUTs for color calibrating displays.

Blackmagic 2110 IP UpDownCross 12G (US$545; available in June): A new standards converter for live production and broadcast that lets customers convert between any SD, HD or Ultra HD video format via 12G-SDI, HDMI and SMPTE-2110 IP video connections. This new converter has a rack mount design with a front panel LCD for video and audio monitoring plus menus.

Blackmagic Videohub Mini 12G models (from US$595; available now): A new family of compact Videohub 12G routers for customers working in limited spaces. Available in 3 models, Blackmagic Videohub Mini 12G includes a ⅓ rack width 4x2 model, a ½ rack width 6x2 model, and a ⅔ rack width 8x4 model. While adding extra inputs to SDI broadcast equipment, all models also feature 12G-SDI connections that work in SD, HD, and Ultra HD video standards and a clean switch that is selected on the video outputs.

Blackmagic Streaming Decoder 4K (US$675, available now): A new streaming processor that decodes the live H.264 and H.265 streams from an encoder or camera and converts it to SDI or HDMI with talkback, tally and camera control. In addition, the name of the Blackmagic Web Presenter will be changed to Blackmagic Streaming Encoder so both models are easier to understand and there is a matching set of streaming encoder and decoder products. Together, these two products allow broadcasters to build high quality video links across the world in true broadcast quality HD and Ultra HD.

ATEM 4 M/E Constellation 4K Plus (US$12,995; available in June): A massive sized Ultra HD switcher with 80 standard converted 12G-SDI inputs and 48 independent 12G-SDI outputs. This new model is twice the size of our current largest 4 M/E model and it also includes 16 ATEM Advanced Chroma Keyers, 4 Ultra HD media players, 4 independent Ultra HD multi-views, 2 SuperSource processors and more.

ATEM Mini Extreme ISO G2 (US$1,995; available in July): An advanced second generation ATEM Mini live production switcher. This new model features an expanded professional style control panel, 8 HDMI inputs, 3 HDMI outputs, multi-view, built in streaming engine, CFexpress and Thunderbolt for record/playback. There is also 10G Ethernet for fast network storage access, XLR audio inputs, USB webcam, DVE, chroma key, media player and ISO recording of all 8 video inputs.

ATEM Micro Camera Panel (US$595; available in May): A new portable camera control panel with high end broadcast CCU controls for ATEM switchers. With a large joystick and physical buttons, ATEM Micro Camera Panels lets customers control iris, pedestal, shutter, white balance, master gain, RGB balance and more for up to 8 cameras from a single panel. This new portable camera control panel also features an internal battery and connects via Bluetooth or USB-C.

Blackmagic PYXIS Pro Handle (US$895; available in July), Blackmagic PYXIS Pro Grip (US$119; available in July): Two new accessories that transform Blackmagic PYXIS into a flexible run and gun camera for broadcast and documentary work. Blackmagic PYXIS Pro Handle includes an integrated HD OLED viewfinder, stereo microphone, record start/stop and custom function buttons. The Blackmagic PYXIS Pro Grip is a side grip for video production and includes a zoom rocker and hand strap for secure and comfortable shooting.

Cintel Scanner G3 HDR+ 8/16 (US$32,045, available now): Designed to support 8mm HD and 16mm Ultra HD film scanning. The scanner features a completely new optical assembly that allows customers to get higher resolution image scanning of these smaller formats, perfect for scanning archived, historical footage. This new model retains the same capstan drives, real time HDR film scanning and includes 8mm and 16mm film gates.

Additionally, we released Fusion Studio 20 Public Beta 1, which adds support for a new deep image compositing toolset, multi-layer pipelining for OpenEXR, PSD and stereoscopic 3D, a vector warping toolset, multitext tool and improvements to Text+ tools, and Blackmagic Cloud Store 1.6, which adds support for SMB3 multichannel, user authentication, and SMB signing to Blackmagic Cloud Store, Blackmagic Cloud Store Max, Blackmagic Media Dock and Blackmagic Cloud Dock models.
