Carl Vogel Now Interim CEO At PRG

In big news for PRG (Production Resource Group), a leading provider of production solutions for entertainment and live events, CEO Richard Porter stepped down from his role as CEO, effective immediately on March 28, 2025. Carl Vogel, who joined the PRG board as lead director in October of 2024, has expanded his role and stepped in as Interim CEO.

Vogel will focus on accelerating PRG's growth through strategic initiatives, potential joint ventures, complementary go-to-market strategies, operational enhancements, and improved customer support. With over 30 years of leadership experience, his extensive background positions him well to drive PRG's success as the company movs forward. As reported by Riley Hayes on Investors' Hangout, "Carl Vogel's appointment as Interim CEO signifies a new strategic direction for PRG, focusing on growth and enhanced customer service. Carl will prioritize strategic initiatives like joint ventures and operational enhancements to accelerate growth and improve customer support."

Vogel is a private investor. He serves as an industry advisor for Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P. and a Senior Advisor of DISH Network Corporation. Vogel is also the president and sole stockholder of Bulldog Capital, Inc., a private investment firm. From November 2011 to October 2014,  Vogel served as a senior adviser of The Gores Group, a private equity firm. From June 2005 until March 2009, Vogel served as vice chairman of DISH Network Corporation (formerly Echostar Communications Corporation, a satellite-delivered digital television services provider) and president from September 2006 until February 2008 of Echostar Communications Corporation. From October 2007 to March 2009,  Vogel was vice chairman and senior advisor at Echostar Corp. Prior to that,  Vogel was president, CEO, and a director of Charter Communications, a broadband service provider. He is director of DISH Network Corporation, Sirius/XM Holdings Inc., Shaw Communications, Inc. and Universal Electronics Inc. Vogel previously served on the board of directors of Ascent Capital Group, Inc., NextWave Wireless Inc., ICG Communications and Liberty Satellite.
