From creative director/production designer Bruce Rodgers of Tribe Inc. to lighting designer Al Gurdon, by way of Bad Bunny's creative team including production manager Roly Garba, creative director Harriet Cuddeford, and Julio Himede and Yellow Studio, it takes a creative village to design a show like the Super Bowl LX Apple Music Halftime Show. The 13-minute show was broadcast live on NBC (with streaming on Peacock) on Sunday, February 8, 2026 from Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

The set up for the show entailed the stage crew pulling 'turf tire' wagons with set pieces onto the pitch's natural grass, but the amount of foliage surrounding the action would have put too much pressure on the turf if prop plants were on additional wagons so the production designer Bruce Rodgers came up with a solution first seen in Macbeth: The plants were "live" as 380 extras walked out onto the pitch themselves, also a way to save time on a tight load-in of seven and a half minutes.. Here is a link to some Facebook video of the plant migration.
The tall grass costumes were used to recreate the lush beauty of Bad Bunny's home town of Vega Baja, Puerto Rico while a sugar cane field and banana trees were designed as a symbol of the island's agricultural exploitation by colonial powers.
Check out the insane seven-and-a-half minute load-in:
Set pieces represented real places such as a Caribbean social club in NYC and a real taco stand in LA (with its actual owner) as the production transported us to a Puerto Rican-inspired village. Bad Bunny, whose full name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, sang in Spanish highlighting America's cultural diversity, and was joined by Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin for cameo appearances. Puerto Rican culture was on display, including music, dancing, and even a wedding scene with a real couple who had reached out to be a part of it. A touch of Buena Vista Social Club, a touch of In The Heights...
And Bad Bunny attracted 135.7 million viewers – breaking the 2025 record of 133.5 million viewers – for the biggest Super Bowl Halftime Show ever – also breaking the record number of fireworks with a total of 9,852 pyrotechnic elements!
