EVEN Appoints Nancy Eckert As Executive Director

EVEN, the nonprofit creating paid apprenticeships in the live events industry, has named Nancy Eckert as executive director. The appointment comes as EVEN expands its efforts to prepare the next generation of technical professionals for careers behind the scenes of live events.

An entertainment attorney with more than two decades of experience across sports, music, and media, Eckert brings deep industry knowledge along with leadership and strategic development experience.

After initial success in California, EVEN is expanding its programs—and the opportunities they create—into additional states across the country.

“Joining EVEN at this moment of growth is an incredible opportunity,” Nancy said. “I’m excited to strengthen relationships with our partners and build new ones as we expand access to meaningful career pathways in the backstage industry.”

EVEN board chair Seth Robinson commented on the appointment, “We’re thrilled to welcome Nancy to EVEN. As an entertainment attorney with more than twenty years of industry experience, she understands the field from the inside out. Her experience developing and leading career training programs makes her uniquely suited to help EVEN expand its impact and open more doors for the next generation of backstage professionals.”

With Tennessee among the next states where EVEN plans to expand Nancy added, “Being based in Nashville, I’m excited to help bring EVEN’s opportunities to the state where I live and connect more people with careers in this remarkable industry.”
