Technical Applications Specialist Henk-jan Blok will lead a Follow-Me 3D Fundamentals training workshop supported by Chris Lose, Designer Relations Liaison North America, and dive into a creative user case presented by longtime Follow-Me specialist Matt Mills at the Follow-Me booth during the expo, at 1:15pm on 7th and 8th of December.

Training Workshop
With over two decades of experience in live production and systems engineering, Blok brings invaluable expertise to this training session. At Follow-Me, he bridges real-world projects and development, translating practical needs into technical solutions while ensuring seamless integration across system design, commissioning, training, support, and deployment.
The Follow-Me 3D Fundamentals training workshop provides hands-on experience with the Follow-Me 3D manual performer tracking system. Attendees will learn how to prepare, setup, calibrate, fine-tune and integrate a Follow-Me 3D system, while exploring real-world use cases that highlight how performer tracking technology enhances creative possibilities and workflow. An initial glimpse of Follow-Me Track-iT automated performer tracking will also be shown.
Participants will discover how to track multiple performers with one setup, troubleshoot effectively, and apply industry best practices. The course is ideal for lighting designers, programmers, technicians, follow-spot operators, and production managers.
Booth Presentations
Follow-Me will host two 10 to 15 minute presentations at booth #2329 featuring Matt Mills, a prominent professional in the live events and concert touring industry known for his lighting design work with high-profile music artists, at 1:15pm on both Sunday 7th and Monday 8th December.

Follow-Me Technology
The Follow-Me systems can be used for manual and automated performer tracking. The systems work independently from any fixture manufacturer. One manual 3D system can follow up to six performers in a stage area with an unlimited set of fixtures per performer. The systems utilise any fixture, as long as the fixture is able to pan and tilt, for general lighting, follow-spotting, and special effects.
Follow-Me systems merge and integrate with lighting consoles over Art-Net and sACN. The 3D SIX license provides Posi Stage Net (PSN) and Open Sound Protocol (OSC) data output to synchronise position data with audio, video systems, and media servers.
The innovative Follow-Me TRACK-iT automated performer tracking system utilises RF tags placed on performers, communicating with antennas across the performance area. Follow-Me 3D SIX and TRACK-iT also team up as a hybrid setup, working together for a smooth immersive experience and seamless switching between modes.
