Audio Artist, Sphere Studios
Sphere Studios is looking for an Audio Artist, “Beam Meister” to join our groundbreaking Advanced Engineering design and development team. This position will bridge the engineering and creative worlds defining what it means to create world-class audio content for MSG Sphere projects utilizing revolutionary technologies including a massive multi-channel high-definition wave field synthesis matrix array audio system of unprecedented scale, complexity, and quality.
The Audio Artist, “Beam Meister” role shall be part of the audio team assisting in defining the entire audio pipeline, from recording concepts and techniques to audio mixing and spatialization, through to final playback and show control integration. This position requires a hands-on technical and creative leader interfacing with Sphere Studio’s LA-based audio production and support teams as well as other Sphere Studios departments and vendors, both domestic and internationally.
What will you do?
Be the spokesperson and evangelist for Sphere audio and show production technologies to educate and involve audio industry professionals through hands-on creative demonstrations, presentations, personal meetings, and networking.
Work alongside and guide external Front of House mixers and Content Creators to support and educate them throughout the process of realizing their show or event in the Sphere.
Provide technical and creative support to the Sphere sound production department
Create and then concisely explain to show design and production teams Sphere’s audio system physical and virtual layouts, beam presets, and auralizations based on breakdowns and distillation of the moment-by-moment creative intent of productions in development.
Work with the audio engineering teams to perform complex electroacoustic modeling and auralizations.
Support audio mixing, spatialization, and playback activities for Sphere content testing and production.
Develop audio and music workflows for Sphere. This consists of thoroughly vetting current toolsets and working with coders and manufacturers to create new tools to advance technology with the aim of producing and proving the most efficient and effective workflow for content creators to realize their shows for Sphere. Develop the main palette that audio and music content creators will use and show them how to use it.
What do you need to succeed?
College degree preferred or additional production certificate programs.
Minimum of 10 years' experience in audio design, audio tech and engineering live events and touring bands.
Accomplished FOH mixer with immersive mix knowledge and experience.
Live event audio sound design and/or mix experience with large format experiences or concerts.
In-depth understanding of sound techniques from capture through post to final master or mix for live
Thorough knowledge configuring and troubleshooting all current professional digital audio workstations, audio consoles and control surfaces, synchronization systems, and advanced digital signal processing systems.
In depth working knowledge of MADI, OSC, MIDI, Word Clock, Dante, AES67/Ravenna, QLan, and other audio over IP protocols.
Thorough knowledge of leading audio creative and technical software and plug-ins (ProTools and/or Reaper).
Proven artist management and leadership skills.
Salary range: $147,000—$220,000

Technical Production Manager, Gulfshore Playhouse
Gulfshore Playhouse is passionately committed to producing high-quality, professional theatre which exceeds the expectations of the cultured residents and visitors of Naples, FL. The Playhouse is opening the Baker Theatre and Education Center, a state-of-the-art facility, featuring a 350-seat mainstage with a Broadway-sized stage, a 125-seat flexible space, rehearsal studios, classrooms, and rental space.
In 2022, Gulfshore Playhouse became nationally recognized as the 77th member of the League of Resident Theatres (LORT).
The Technical Production Manager is part of a PM team that includes Director of Production and Assistant Production Manager. The ideal individual will have a strong drive to provide high-quality work, the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, strong written and verbal communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work as part of the team. Required Skills Include:

Duties Include:
● Working with Director of Production the TPM will oversee all production departments in realizing the vision of the theatre as seen by Producing Artistic Director and the vision of each individual production as seen by the creative team of that production
● Facilitating communication within and between production departments, administration, artistic staff, and guest artists
● With the APM, ensuring safety and policy adherence.
● Act as Production Manager for assigned shows throughout the year – supervising the show from beginning to end.
● Assist with managing/supervising all load-ins and load-outs
● Overseeing the production elements of in-season and summer educational programming
Preferred Qualifications Include:
● Experience in an equivalent position with a professional theatre.
● Experience as Technical Director in professional theatre
● Demonstrable understanding of the production process from both a creative and technical viewpoint and ability to negotiate a clear path to success for any given production. Ability to read and evaluate designer plans and technical drawings.
● Experience creating and overseeing budgets including estimating labor requirements.
● Proficiency in drafting with either AutoCAD or Vectorworks and the ability to clearly lay out drawings for others to read and understand.
● Proficiency in rigging, automation, and advanced theatrical techniques and the willingness to seek advice and help from others as needed to fill in gaps in knowledge.
● Experience leading crews, delegating tasks, and ensuring that everyone is working together toward a common goal.
● Ability to work independently, exercising judgment and discretion, while demonstrating initiative in the performance of all job duties.

Director of Production, Manhattan Theatre Club
The Director of Production reports directly to the Executive Director and General Manager and is instrumental in all aspects of MTC’s Production Department, Facilities and Capital Improvements. The Director of Production works directly with every play’s creative team, to facilitate the realization of their designs. They also oversee facilities at all of MTC’s theatres, studios, and office spaces.
Primary duties include:
Managing all production elements and logistics, hiring and supervising union and non-union production staff, production payroll, accounting and budgeting, scheduling production and theatre resources, and operations and maintenance for all MTC facilities. This position works closely with MTC Staff, directors, designers, stage managers, technical crews, consultants and vendors. Critical for success in this position is the ability to work in concert with others, train and manage staff, and track and prioritize multiple short term and long term projects at once.
Additional duties include:
Hire, train, supervise and manage all staff in the Production Management department.
Hire and oversee all theatrical Production departments including Production department heads, Union Crews and non-union Crews across all MTC activities.
Work with the Artistic Producing Team, Executive Producer, Finance Director and General Management team on season planning, scheduling and budgeting.
Act as the liaison between the Production, Artistic and administrative departments.
Create and implement all season scheduling related to production: season calendars, rehearsal and tech schedules, design deadlines, etc. Advise on most appropriate scheduling of events within the MTC calendar.
Budget responsibility for all production areas including material, rental and labor budgets as well as creating facilities budgets in conjunction with the Director of Finance. This includes the preparation of the annual budgets for production areas.
Oversee and run and attend production related meetings as well as monitor the progress of each Production sub-department throughout the production process in concert with the Production Management Team.
Approve use of production spaces and provide technical support for all special events, building rentals, and non-production activities with Friedman Theatre Manager or Landlords.
Oversee logistical and budgetary requirements of facility operations.
Process weekly payroll for theatrical Production staff.
Work closely with Artistic and Development staff on the planning and production of the annual Fall Benefit, Spring Gala and other special events when production support or space is needed.
Salsary range between $140K and $160K.
