In its innovative Foster The Future program, LDI embraces the next generation of industry professionals with special initiatives.
The main focus of Foster The Future is the fourth annual Young Career Professionals Program for those under the age of 25 and developing an interest in a career in live events design and production. This special package runs for four days, December 7-10, 2024 as part of the LDI Trade Show and Conference at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Over 150 young professionals have participated in the first three years of this innovative program to provide those getting into the industry an affordable way to attend LDI and the LDInnovation Conference, as well as special events and networking opportunities. Foster The Future also includes the Pat MacKay Diversity In Design Scholarships, now in their fifth year, and the LDI Production Assistants program for undergrad and graduate students to get hands-on experience producing an industry event on the scale of LDI. Graduates of this program fill a wide range of industry positions today.
