Ashleigh Barrera is a project manager at 4Wall Entertainment.

Live Design: Can you describe yourself in less than 50 words?
Asleigh Barrera: I believe I am a driven, hardworking leader who blends innovation with creativity in every challenge I tackle. A true team player, that brings people together, elevates collaboration, and inspires others through my dedication and forward-thinking approach. I am reliable, passionate, and have a problem-solving mindset that can consistently move projects from vision to successful execution.
LD: Please give a brief overview of your training/education/career path.
AB: I studied Theatre Production and Management at Emerson College before touring nationally as an AEA Production Stage Manager with Theatreworks USA. After that I worked with David Copperfield before transitioning into technical production as an electrician with IATSE Local 720 and freelance electrician for film and tv. Then I joined 4Wall as a Project Coordinator and advancing to Project Manager. My project portfolio includes major global installations such as Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Universal Beijing Resort, SoFi Stadium, Super Nintendo World Hollywood, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, Marvel’s Avengers Campus, and Universal’s Epic Universe.
LD: Please describe your most recent project.
AB: I just wrapped up working on Celestial Park at Universal's Epic Universe, as well as Saks 5th Avenue's Holiday Light Show and Cartier's Holiday Light Show.
LD: What are you teaching at LDI and who is your target audience?
AB: I participated on the panel “Lighting Good Morning America” with Dennis Size.
LD: What has been the biggest challenge of your career to date?
AS: We talked about lighting for theme parks and the importance of collaboration for a successful project.
LD: What is your advice for people just getting into the industry?
AB: Learn the fundamentals (learn power distribution, networking, control protocols, etc.), get your hands on the gear, never stop asking questions, embrace troubleshooting and learn to love solving the puzzles, maintain a good reputation and network every chance you get! And most importantly stay humble and stay hungry, this is an exciting and ever-changing field don't be afraid to put in the hard work!
