Mitja Prelovsek is the founder and CEO of LightAct, a solution for visualizing, programming, and running amazing live events and immersive installations. It consists of a software suite and a fleet of reliable rack media servers. Based in Slovenia, he is responsible for steering product development, leading marketing efforts, and quality assurance of all LightAct products.
Live Design: Can you describe yourself in less than 50 words?
Mitja Prelovsek: A strong leader with strategic thinking and relentless drive. Founded and led LightAct, a fast-growing media server company since 2014. Previously established various initiatives, including the Enlighter lighting magazine, showcasing a career of entrepreneurial vision since 2010.
LD: Please give a brief overview of your training/education/career path.
MP: I have a strong focus on education, leading dozens of LightAct training sessions. I have also taught at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm and the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Ljubljana.
LD: What are you teaching at LDI and who is your target audience?
MP: I'm teaching LightAct media servers. Our target audience is experienced media server operators.
