Scott De Vos is a founding partner of De Lux Productions and a pioneer in concert touring. He has worked with a long list of artists including Aerosmith, Rolling Stones, Eagles and Fleetwood Mac. Later he joined Obie’s Lighting working with Fleetwood Mac, Willie Nelson, and the Allman Brothers.
Live Design Can you describe yourself in less than 50 words?
Scott De Vos: Over 50 years experience in live entertainment. My first stadium shows were in 1975. I have worked for sound, lighting and staging companies; worked for promoters and corporations. I have produced concerts, product launches, college graduations and televised awards shows. It's been a great ride.
LD: Please give a brief overview of your training/education/career path.
SDV: I started when the industry started, we learned by experience.

SDV: Vanderbilt University Commencement in a soccer stadium.
LD; What are you involved with at LDI and who is your target audience?
SDV: Part of the Dinning with Dinosaurs. Anyone that wants to hear how it all began.
LD: What has been the biggest challenge of your career to date?
SDV: Staying current with technology.
LD: What is your advice for people just getting into the industry?
SDV: Stay focused on the needs of the audience, they are the ones we work for.
