Todd LePere, Sales Director, Nighthawk Video chats with Live Design about the video package and new state-of-the-art LED floor/ deck developed with TAIT for Morgan Wallen's recent I'm The Problem Tour.
Live Design: How did you influence the visual experience for this tour?
Todd LePere: Nighthawk Video was the video package provider for the tour globally, the giant LED banner over the stage is our Saco A5-5mm LED, which displays all content and IMAG during the show. We also provide Saco A5 for the LED Risers onstage, and the mid-stage closedown LED wall. We also provided the brand-new Saco MD6 LED Floor, which provides all the visuals on the thrust and custom MW at the end of the thrust. We also provide the full broadcast camera and 4k switching system with 11x Grass Valley LDX150 Cameras to display the highest quality image on our Saco A5mm LED wall.
LD: What are the elements of the technical systems?
TL: Our 4k broadcast camera system, wireless systems, and 4k processing integrates seamlessly with Zac Caron’s Disguise GX3 rack. Everything video wise for this tour has been dialed in and is a great example of all systems functioning perfectly with each other for a flawless show every night.
LD: How did you collaborate with TAIT?
TL: Nighthawk Video, TAIT, along with Saco LED, designed and developed a brand-new MD6-6mm LED floor integrated into a standard TAIT Mag Deck. Not only does it save roughly 50% space for shipping, it takes half the time to build, it has a textured lens for artist safety and a water drainage system built into the panel design.
LD: Biggest challenge for this tour from a technical standpoint?
TL: Getting to develop a brand-new state-of-the-art LED floor/ deck with TAIT for an artist like Morgan when the priorities are ease of function, safety, and technical support, which allowed us to create something very special.
