Panasonic Powers Immersive Art Experience In Downtown Napa

Downtown Napa has transformed into an open-air canvas as the city’s annual Napa Lighted Art Festival returns.

Running now through Sunday, February 15, the free, walkable outdoor festival brings together artists, architecture, and technology to create a month-long immersive public art experience of 15 lighted art installations. A key part of the festival, projection artwork will light up three iconic downtown buildings for the first nine nights of the festival, offering vivid, full-scale visuals that highlight both the complexity of the artwork and Napa’s architectural character.

Behind the scenes, Panasonic Projector & Display Americas works with A3 Visual to power the festival’s projection mapping installations, supporting artists with advanced projection technology that delivers sharp image quality and vibrant color reproduction for full-building illumination. Positioned throughout Downtown Napa, the MEVIX PT-RQ35K 30,000lm 3-Chip DLP™ 4K laser projector brings these lighted art installations to life, allowing artists to translate their creative vision into striking, city-scale storytelling. Beyond the visual impact, the Napa Lighted Art Festival demonstrates how projection and light technologies are evolving as an artistic medium, while also driving economic growth and off-season tourism for the region.

“Projection mapping allows artists to tell stories at a scale that connects people to place,” said Tim Morin, Product Engineering Manager, Panasonic Projector & Display Americas. “In Napa, we’re not just lighting up buildings, we’re helping artists transform the city itself into a shared storytelling experience that reflects the culture, creativity, and character of the community. We’re excited to continue powering these captivating visual experiences throughout the year as a testament to the power of art, technology, and place to come together and tell stories that resonate.”
