MONTREAL, CANADA | February 9, 2025 — Super Bowl LIX delivered an unprecedented spectacle, transforming the stadium crowd at New Orleans' Caesars Superdome into a human-resolution screen of immersive effects that made fans part of the action. At the heart of this experience was PixMob, a Montreal-based company that has revolutionized the way audiences interact with live events. This year marked the 7th Super Bowl featuring PixMob’s fan immersion tech, where the newest invention from these Canadian tech innovators redefined how live entertainment is experienced.
A Stadium-Scale Transformation
Having previously worked exclusively on the Halftime Show in recent years, this year PixMob’s mandate was extended to the full game. The show kicked off with a pre-game performance dedicated to New Orleans’ resilience, featuring a marching band illuminated with PixMob’s synchronized LED wearable tech. Every fan in the stadium—all 75,000 of them—were given a PixMob LED wristband that collectively turned the crowd into an LED screen of animated visuals. Throughout the game, PixMob’s lighting effects reacted in real-time to touchdowns, kick offs, and fan-driven moments, reaching its high point in an awe-inspiring halftime show by Kendrick Lamar featuring PixMob’s MVT “Human Screen” technology.
The enclosed environment of Caesars Superdome amplified PixMob’s immersive effects, offering a pitch-black canvas for visuals that mesmerized both live attendees and over 100 million TV viewers around the world.
“What makes MVT so exciting is that it controls the audience’s LED wearables like pixels on a TV screen. Each fan becomes an active pixel in a canvas of animated effects that transforms the typically dark stadium space.” Jean-Olivier Dalphond - PixMob, Partner & Chief Commercial Officer
“MVT is transformative in that each show is entirely customized to the event or artist’s creative visions and designs. While our previous tech would cast waves of moving colours, now it’s casting motion graphics and content. It changes the game.” Vincent Leclerc - PixMob, Co-founder & Partner
Innovation Inspired by Iconic Events
PixMob’s MVT was inaugurated at the Paris Olympics closing ceremony and Coldplay tours in 2024. For Super Bowl LIX, the company’s MVT technology took centre stage on its North American debut, seamlessly blending fans with the action on the field.
Live on February 9
Super Bowl LIX took place on February 9 at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, where Montreal’s PixMob were delighted to once again deliver a game-changing event that blended sports, culture, and technology for the ultimate fan experience.
