Thibaut Duverneix To Present Keynote At LDI & DSE On December 9, 2024

CEO, executive creative director, Multimedia Experiences, at Gentilhomme in Montreal, Thibaut Duverneix will present a keynote at LDI & DSE on Monday, December 9, 2024 in Las Vegas. In this joint keynote, he will address "Future World-Building: The Art of Digital and Physical Storytelling." Gentilhomme is an earth-based multimedia entertainment studio, creating immersive experiences at the junction of magic, humans and the mediums that bond them.

Thibaut Duverneix is one of the few creative directors in the industry with a remarkable mastery of both artistic creation and technological design. In 2012, he was named one of the New York Art Directors Club’s ’Young Guns,’ among the best creatives under 30 in the world. He is the main source of vision and aesthetics for Gentilhomme projects. Working closely with the client and creative teams throughout all phases of the project, he infuses his perception and provides direction to creatives before signing-off on all creative deliverables. Duverneix is able to direct, manage and produce projects of any scale from conception to integration, anywhere in the world.

In this keynote, Duverniex will explore the intersection of digital and physical realms, where storytelling and world-building come together to create immersive and transformative experiences in entertainment. Discover the techniques and artistry behind crafting impactful experiences that captivate and inspire audiences regardless of the medium.

Takeaways to include:

  1. Creating Impact for Stakeholders: Immersive experiences should not only captivate audiences but also deliver measurable value to stakeholders. Aligning creative vision with business objectives ensures that every project drives engagement, brand loyalty, and revenue growth.
  2. The Medium is Not the Message: The essence of a story should transcend the medium through which it is told. The core message and emotional resonance of a narrative are what truly matter, regardless of whether it is delivered digitally, physically, or both.
  3. Hiding Technology to Create Magic: Master the art of seamlessly integrating technology to make it invisible to the audience, creating a magical experience that captivates without distraction.
  4. Creating Entertainment at Scale: Learn effective strategies for producing high-quality, large-scale entertainment that stays consistent and engaging across diverse platforms.

Duverneix's keynote will also be part of the XLIVExLDI experience, a forward thinking series of sessions: The evolutionary pace of technology for experience and entertainment is accelerating, bringing new creative opportunities to our field. Which new tools and applications will radically change how we interact with audiences? ...how we visualize experiences? ...how we do business in the world of entertainment design? Join us at XLIVE to get a peek into the crystal ball as creative director/designer Mary Franck and Jake Pinholster (newly appointed dean for the College of Fine & Applied Arts at the University of Illinois) guide you through a curated look at things to come, including explorations of generative AI, volumetric capture/photogrammetry, and other innovations at the edge of the industry.
