URTA announces the URTA Designer Showcase, taking place at LDI in Las Vegas, Saturday November 19, 2022.
The one-day event will provide designers and technicians the opportunity to present their work and network with potential graduate school recruiters and employers. As part of LDI’s Foster The Future and Young Career Professionals Program, the showcase will be particularly valuable for early-career designers and technicians, and compliments other LDI programming, including the Design Portfolio Review (Friday) where designers can receive professional feedback on their presentations ahead of the URTA showcase.
“Students and early-career professionals are the future of the live entertainment industry, and there is no better place to welcome these emerging designers and technicians to the industry than at the LDI Show,” said URTA Program Director, Sara Ross. Ross added, “URTA is thrilled to help shine a spotlight on these talented individuals, and create a space for connection at LDI with this inaugural showcase.”
There is no additional fee to take part in the URTA Designer Showcase. However, space is limited, so participants are strongly encouraged to pre-register at URTA.com/LDI to reserve their place. Walk-in participants may take part as space permits. LDI provides highly discounted registration for young career professionals 18-25 to take part i the full conference program. All particiapnts in the URTA Designer Showcase will get a free expo hall pass, where the showcase will take place.
