LDI 2025: Meet The Speakers - Kayla Czembowski

Kayla Czembowski, director of operations for Encore at Caesar’s Palace, is speaking on the Women in Tech Panel at LDI on Tuesday, December 9 from 11am-12pm.

Live Design: Can you describe yourself in less than 50 words?

Kayla Czembowski: I'm a curious, adaptable problem solver who enjoys finding creative solutions. Whether I'm exploring the outdoors, squeezing in a yoga class, or relaxing on the couch with family, I strive for balance. My 'show must go on' approach means I tackle challenges head-on and keep things moving forward.

LD: Please give a brief overview of your training/education/career path.

KC: I hold a BFA in Theatre Design and Technology from Emerson College, along with a Graphic Design Certificate from UNLV and a Google Project Management Certification. My career began in live entertainment as a stagehand and carpenter for shows including Tournament of Kings, later advancing to roles such as lead props technician for Blue Man Group and stage manager for Jabbawockeez, where I honed technical and leadership skills. Transitioning into corporate event production, I joined Encore at Caesars Palace as an associate project manager, then moved into venue operations leadership. Today, I serve as Director of Operations for Encore at Caesars Palace Las Vegas, overseeing AV operations, managing teams, and ensuring the successful execution of large-scale corporate events. This journey has provided me with a unique blend of creative, technical, and operational expertise across entertainment and event production.

LD: What has been the biggest challenge of your career to date?

KC: The most significant challenge I’ve faced was deciding to change careers after nearly a decade in live entertainment. Moving from hands-on technical roles into corporate event operations required me to step away from a familiar environment and embrace an entirely new skill set.

LD: What is your advice for people just getting into the industry?

KC: Be adaptable and willing to learn and take every opportunity to observe and ask questions.
